EPTE (European Primary Teacher Education) is a one semester study programme (30 ECTS) for primary teacher education students, offered yearly in of the following cooperating partner institutions:
The EPTE curriculum strongly supports the idea of democracy and a European identity based on a sense of solidarity and interdependency and promotes the “European dimension in education”.
The “European dimension” is reflected in the structure and content of the programme:
EPTE has already taken place at all involved partner universities. In summer term 2019, EPTE will be hosted once again at the Pädagogische Hochschule OÖ.
For PH OÖ primary TE students, who for different reasons cannot go on a study exchange abroad, this is a great opportunity to integrate in an international study group at home. The whole EPTE semester will be complitely validated for the study program at PH OÖ.
PH OÖ Students interested in taking part of the 2019 summer semester EPTE program are invited to contact PH OÖ outgoing students staff. Students from other EPTE partner universities please contact your respective international offices.
The study programme comprises 6 modules of 5 credits each and covers the following areas:
School practice, as well as a local language course, complete these five modules, which are composed to one-third of contact hours and to two thirds of students’ self study.
