Der OEAD hat das vom Institut für Internationale Kooperationen (PH OÖ) eingereichte Projekt „EdUkraine“ als förderwürdig eingestuft. Im Rahmen des Projektes, das im Oktober 2023 startet, werden ukrainische Lehramtsstudierende (aus den Universitäten Lwiw, Kiew und Drohobych) nach Oberösterreich kommen und an ausgewählten Volksschulen ein Praktikum absolvieren (bei denen sie ukrainischen Flüchtlingskindern Hilfestellungen leisten werden). Parallel nehmen die Teilnehmer*innen an Lehrveranstaltungen der PH teil und unterstützen ein angegliedertes Forschungsprojekt. Eine wissenschaftliche Konferenz mit ukrainischen Expert*innen wird an der PH OÖ durchgeführt werden. Das Projekt wird von der Bildungsdirektion OÖ unterstützt. Zum Projektteam gehören, neben dem Institutsleiter Niels de Jong, Karl Wegenschimmel und Jan Böhm.

The Institute for International Cooperation of the University of Education Upper Austria (PH OÖ) has raised third-party funds. The OeAD (National Agency) has accepted the project "EdUkraine"; the project will start in October 2023. Within the framework of the project, Ukrainian student teachers (from the universities of Lviv, Kiev and Drohobych) will come to Upper Austria and complete an internship at selected elementary schools (where they will work with Ukrainian refugee children).  At the same time, the participants will take part in courses at the PH OÖ and will support an associated research project. A scientific conference with Ukrainian experts will be held at the PH OÖ. The project is supported by the District School Board of Upper Austria. The project team includes, in addition to the Head of the Institute Niels de Jong, Karl Wegenschimmel and Jan Böhm.
