Studyyear 2023/2024:

Summer Semester: 

Registration Deadline: December 15, 2023 for summer semester

Semester starts with Orientation Days: 26.02.-01.03.2024 (mandatory for incoming exchange students)
Semester ends: Last day of classes 30.06.2024 (please note that there might be exams for some courses till the end of the 1st week of July)

Holidays during summer semester (during most official holidays, stores are closed):

25.03.2024 - 06.04.2024: Easter Holiday Break (no classes)
01.05.2024: International Labour Day
04.05.2024: St. Florian - a holiday for schools & no courses at the university, but shops are open
09.05.2024: Ascension Day
20.05.2024: Whit Monday (Pentecost) 
30.05.2024: Corpus Christi Holiday

Summer Break: 01.07.2023 - 01.10.2024 (no classes, exams possible in the first week of July)

Studyyear 2024/2025:

Winter Semester: 

Semester starts with Orientation Days: Tuesday, 24.09.2024 - Monday, 30.09.2024 (mandatory for incoming exchange students)
Semester ends: Last day of classes 31.01.2025 (please note that there might be exams for some courses till the end of the 1st week of February)

Holidays during winter semester (keep in mind that on most official holidays, also stores in Austria are closed):

26.10.2024: Austrian National Day 
01.11.2024: All Saint's Day
23.12.2024 - 06.01.2025: Christmas Holidays
